Newly Certified as a Woman-Owned Small Business, CompuCycle Exhibits at 2015 WBEA EXPO and WBENC National Conference to Reach Out to Corporate Clients

HOUSTON—Wednesday, May 20, 2015—CompuCycle announced today that it has gained its certification as a woman-owned small business through the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Houston /CompuCycle Partnership Grows to include GREENspot DROPoff for Electronic Scrap Recycling

-- Houston Mayor Annise Parker announced today a more comprehensive electronics waste products stewardship program for Houston residents. 

Since September 2011, the City has partnered with CompuCycle to provide a permanent electronics recycling drop-off site at CompuCycle headquarters located at 7700 Kempwood and monthly mobile e-waste collections on Saturdays at three City of Houston recycling sites.  With the new expanded service, residents will be able to drop off e-waste free-of-charge at storage facilities participating in the GREENspot DROPoff Houston Program. 

Houston offers free recycling of electronics in Clear Lake area

Houston ChronicleAugust 6, 2013 -- As more advanced computers and electronic devices are put on the market, how to safely and securely dispose of old, outdated equipment is a dilemma many people face.

Christine Mosier, a representative of CompuCycle, said that is the main concern expressed by those dropping off their old electronics and appliances at the Ellington/Clear Lake Neighborhood Recycling Center. The center is located near Ellington Airport, off of Texas 3 at Brantley Road.

The Rice Environmental Club is partnering with CompuCycle, a Houston electronics recycling company, to host this drive that is part of Compucycle’s WhatIF campaign, which builds upon the question, What if unused electronic waste could create jobs for those living with disabilities? CompuCycle is encouraging businesses throughout Houston to host their own e-cycling drives or donate their own corporate e-waste.

Keep Kingwood Green partners with CompuCycle to collect e-waste

They want to help the community especially those with special needs more with these specific collections.

KKG is partnering with CompuCycle to collect as much e-waste from the community to help raise funds for the organization.

September 26, 2011 -- Houston Mayor Annise D. Parker, District A City Council Member Brenda Stardig, the City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) and CompuCycle announced the addition of a permanent electronics recycling drop-off site for Houstonians to recycle their electronics responsibly at the CompuCycle building located at 7700 Kempwood. The partnership between the City and CompuCycle also provides monthly one-day collection events on Saturdays at three City of Houston recycling centers beginning October 8th.
